About Sunshine Foundation
A Little About Us….
The Sunshine Foundation focuses on the empowerment of women and girls in Guyana who live in deprived under-served and under-resourced communities and their basic survival is a daily struggle. These women and girls have experienced child sexual exploitation (CSE), gender based violence, exposed to early pregnancies and violation of their human rights. As a result, they have become school dropouts and are deprived of an education that would have given them the opportunity to gain meaningful employment, which would enable them to become independent in their everyday lives and thereby breaking the generational cycles of lack and deprivation for future generations.
The Sunshine Foundation will fulfill their potentials by offering life skills programs and opportunities that not only build the confidence of these women and girls but will restore hope and trust through compassion and integrity.

To empower women and girls who live in deprived/ underserved and under resourced communities in Guyana to become agent of change through but not limited to coaching, counseling, parental skill programs, literacy and numeracy, budget and financial management and resources mobilization.
To collaborate with individuals, communities Civil Society Organizations, Governmental agencies and International Organizations and Private sector to fulfill the goals of Sunshine Foundation.
The Foundation sees the empowerment of women and girls as a priority, thereby developing its action with a view to lifelong education, focusing its services on programs and projects that promote opening for women and girls who are vulnerable and marginalized, such as
